I am back from my last trip of the summer, and I can now start preparing for another semester of college. I only have two left, but it still doesn’t feel like my education is coming to a close.
Anyone in college knows the stress of juggling multiple areas of life all while trying to get that degree. It is hard! I am glad I only have to juggle being a mom/wife and doing school, but it still is stressful. Here are some of the essentials to maintain your sanity this next school year.

Bullet Journal/Planner
I fell in love with bullet journaling two years ago. I thought it was a fun way to personalize your own planner and the options for how you design each page are endless. I haven’t been the best at bullet journaling, but I want to make it something I use more consistently this next school year because having a schedule planned out where I can see it is something that helps me. If you don’t have time to doodle, or you like a more straight forward planner, then just go to Target and grab a cute one there! If you are more of a technical person then you could also look into a scheduling app for yourself! I have to physically write things out to remember them better, but everyone is different. Just be sure to have SOMETHING to help you keep track of your busy schedule and assignments!
Learning Puzzles
Lillian loves her learning puzzles! They are the ones where you have to put the shape/letter/number into the area that it fits. They are block puzzles and Lillian has a great time playing with them. She can’t sort them yet, but she can play with them for a long time, which gives me the extra time I need to finish homework during the school year.
Notebooks
And when I say notebooks, I mean get yourself some CUTE ones! There are so many options of cute notebooks to get off of Amazon. Be sure to get notebooks for each class you are taking too. I used to try to cram it all into one notebook, but I got so disorganized that way. Separate them or get one that has different sections for your classes.
Toy Laptop

You will probably be spending most of your days on your actual laptop doing homework assignments, so help your little one feel included by getting them a toy laptop so they can “work” alongside you. The great thing about a lot of toy laptops is that they can be learning games for your little one as well. This will be a great way to help your little cutie feel more included by helping them work as you do.
Get Out of the House Each Day
This isn’t an actual item, but this is going to help you and your child feel a lot better. If you can get out of the house, or socialize with someone who can actually talk, it will help maintain your sanity. It can be hard being trapped inside all day doing homework or having a fussy baby/toddler all day. Going for a walk, especially in the beautiful fall weather, will help you both reset. You will also be able to burn off some of your extra energy and hopefully come back and focus better!
These are just a few things that I am going to utilize this next school year. I think that school can be fun even in the stress of it all. I definitely get tired out by the end of each semester, but school and motherhood are SO worth it. If you are in the process of both, I am here to cheer you on! Keep it up.
